American Airlines now offering Wi-Fi on flights- a big deal?

Maybe it's just me, but this is being covered like it's a revolution. "The service will cost a flat rate of $12.95 on flights of more than three hours, and passengers can sign up for Internet access much like they would at a Starbucks or hotel. When they turn on their laptops or BlackBerrys at 10,000 feet and open their Web browsers, they will be automatically directed to a portal page where they enter their credit card information."
