Texas Justice: Life in prison for 10th DUI

Kenneth Chris Oneal, 58, will spend the rest of his life in prison for his 10th conviction of driving while intoxicated. From the article: "The offense was a felony because he had at least two such convictions in the past, prosecutors said. He faced from 25 years to life in prison.

Department of Public Safety troopers pulled him over in October and his blood-alcohol level tested at .215 percent, which means it was nearly three times the Texas legal limit of .08 percent, authorities said."

founder I support severe punishment for drunk drivers, but texas has got to come up with a better solution than this... though maybe they should fix their capital punishment problem first. [QUOTE]

founder When you refer to the Texas capital punishment problem, I can only assume you mean that their execution process is too slow? (does Texas dance, shoots guns into the air) [QUOTE]
