Bonobos: Zappos for mens pants

Mass-market pants, the kind you find at chain stores, are often baggy and frumpy, with lots of extra fabric around the thigh, Spaly says. He calls this "khaki diaper-butt." High-end designer pants, meanwhile, are expensive and too tight, cut for pencil-legged fashionistas and runway models. Bonobos aims for the comfy middle ground. Its pants, most of which cost $118, have a curved waistband, less fabric in the thighs than the frumpy pants its founders frown on, and a slight boot cut. They come in classic men's colors like khaki, blue and gray, but also in orange, pale lavender and jungle green with bright flowers.

Ban on saggy pants is ruled unconstitutional by Florida judge

S-baggy-pants-large
In March, a town in Florida banned saggy pants where the wearers underwear was exposed. Somebody sued for some reason, and won. Today, the court ruled that that law is unconstitutional. "A 17-year-old spent a night in jail last week after police arrested him for wearing low pants in Riviera Beach, southeast Florida... The law banning so-called "saggy pants" was approved by city voters in March after supporters of the bill collected nearly 5,000 signatures to put the measure on the ballot."

Sensorized pants for seniors

Virginia Tech researchers have designed sensorized pants that can detect when a person is wobbly, or about to fall. The applications for the technology are questionable, but hey, what do I know. It's worth a click just to see the picture of the sensorized pants, just to verify that I'm not making them up. From the article "The idea is that you sew these "e-Tags" (e-Textile Attached Gadgets) into a pair of pants, tie them into a home automation or health-monitoring system, and grandma can live independently for a few more years without you hovering over her all the time."
