Social networking sites are all about narcissism

I am a member of the Facebook generation and I hate it, along with MySpace, LinkedIn and every other social networking site. I understand why people use them. They're convenient. In a world where it's hard to make and stay in touch with friends, these sites help people express themselves and connect to others. They prevent friends from falling into amiable oblivion. But using Web pages for the mass creation and consumption of relationships feels like the exact opposite of personal communication.

"Revenge Porn" - you can guess what it is. Should it be a crime?

Guy and girl date, the girl sends nude pics, for some reason, then they break up. The emotionally immature guy posts the pics/videos. Right now it's not necessarily a crime. Should it be? "While the act can lead to criminal charges, there's some debate over whether revenge porn, per se, ought to be codified as a crime. What's clear, however, is that it is part of the digital-age Zeitgeist. The ease of recording and transmitting sexually explicit images, the rise of Internet exhibitionism, and the ubiquity of a Girls Gone Wild mentality have created the contemporary version of writing "Jenny gives good head" on the bathroom wall."
