Sex offenders must hand over passwords - your thoughts?

2006 federal law requiring authorities to track Internet addresses of sex offenders, but it is among the first to take the extra step of forcing its 16,000 offenders to turn in their passwords as well. You should know 3 things- first, the strip club owner told the town board he was building a restaurant, second, they ripped down the sign (risque cafe) and burned i with diesel, and third, the total town budget for the year is $1M. "The proud new owner of Cafe Risque called a town meeting after the sale, and all the churches in Lavonia advertised it. A standing-room-only crowd of dozens showed up to city hall and rewarded the mayor and his council with a standing ovation when they announced the deal. Then the mayor led about 50 citizens a few miles down the road. The group counted down from 10 and tore down the cafe's 12-foot-wide sign. They poured diesel on it and watched it go up."

Is mom partially to blame for kids being held captive for 3 yrs?

In case you haven't heard this sick story, a man is accused of holding his wife and kids captive in a bug-infested trailer for 3 years. The mother escaped after the man starting having an affair with another women. He sounds like a catch, and I can see why the other woman would have the affair with him. From the article: "Thousands of roaches and other bugs crawled in and out of drawers, cupboards and furniture. Spoiled food littered the place, and a long-ignored plumbing problem left the floors rotten and mattresses moldy....Thurmond's wife finally came forward after he told her he was leaving her for another woman and that he'd return every few days with food, Collins said."
