Who do you believe, the towing company or the student?

But claiming that the company scraped off the parking sticker so that he would have to pay $118 to retrieve the impounded car, he said he complained to his building's management and then to the police. He said he showed the police a portion of the sticker still in his windshield and explained that his parking permit came with his apartment. After trying to work with the company with little success, he decided to turn to Facebook, creating a page that says it's, "For every resident who was legitimately parked where they are supposed to be but were still towed by this company."

Suns to Wear 'Los Suns' Jerseys in Protest of Immigration Law

Hill-nash-los-suns-0410-420
But the Suns' decision to don their Spanish language tops is infinitely more inflammatory because of what it will represent, a stance that owner Robert Sarver made abundantly clear in a statement released to the media Tuesday. The move -- which, by no coincidence, will unfold on Cinco de Mayo -- is a direct response to the recent passing of Arizona immigration law SB1070.

A pack a day for 30 years means you've smoked this many

Smoking4
Last week, at Martin Place in central Sydney, PR agency One Green Bay covered the floor with an installation made from 219,000 imitation cigarettes. This number represents the number of cigarettes a 20-per-day smoker consumes over the span of 30 years. It’s hard to see in the pictures, but the cigarettes are covered with a transparent panel, which is why you see people walking on top of them.

Seattle cartoonist launches "Everybody Draw Mohammed Day"

The group said it wasn't threatening South Park producers Trey Parker and Matt Stone, but it included a gruesome picture of Theo Van Gogh, a Dutch filmmaker killed by a Muslim extremist in 2004, and said the producers could meet the same fate. The website posted the addresses of Comedy Central's New York office and the California production studio where South Park is made. "As a cartoonist I just felt so much passion about what had happened I wanted to kind of counter Comedy Central's message they sent about feeling afraid," Norris said.

Sceptic challenges guru to kill him live on TV

Edmaruka3_698938a
(vote on the skeptic) First, the master chanted mantras, then he sprinkled water on his intended victim. He brandished a knife, ruffled the sceptic’s hair and pressed his temples. But after several hours of similar antics, Mr Edamaruku was still very much alive — smiling for the cameras and taunting the furious holy man.
