how to add a pikk poll widget to your blog post
Adding a poll to your blog is a great way to engage your readers. With a Pikk Poll, you get the added benefit of being linked back from Pikk.com, so Pikk users and your readers are voting on the same poll. As your story gets more votes on your page, it ranks higher on Pikk, so Pikk readers are more likely to come to your blog as your story gains more visibility.
When you submit your story and use the Pikk poll, here's how it will appear on Pikk and on your blog post:

There are 3 ways to add a poll to your blog post:
1) Write, Submit, EditThis is the easiest way to add a poll to your blog post or website. Write you blog post, and submit its URL to Pikk as a story. Then, click on the "widget" link on the story as shown below: |
|
This link will give you the code you'll need to embed a poll into your post. Copy the code, then go back to your blog post, edit it, and insert the widget code where you want the poll to appear. |
2) Write, SubmitHere, you simply write your blog post and embed the widget code while you're writing. The widget how to gives details on how to do this. Once you've published your post, the widget will appear, with a "Submit" button on it. Click that button to submit your story to Pikk. That's all there is to it. Your post is now registered on Pikk and your widget is live. |
3) Use the WordPress PluginIf you're a WordPress user, install the plugin, and when you are editing a story, at the bottom of the edit form, you'll see checkboxes for adding various Pikk widgets (and the default Digg widget): |

Now, publish your post and the widget will appear. Click the "Submit" button on the widget to submit your story to Pikk, and your widget is now live. |
