Comments get First Prize

(Posted 24 days ago)

Story submitters can now award First Prize to the best comment. So, say something intelligent, witty or interesting and you'll be rewarded with a token badge on an obscure website. Also, submit stories to wield arbitrary power over other Pikkers!

Facebook Integration is Coming!

(Posted 3 months ago)

I've been busy integrating Facebook into Pikk. Soon (within a week or so), you'll be able to log in to Pikk with your Facebook account, share your votes with your Facebook friends, post your Pikk comments to your wall, nudge your Facebook friends to vote, and a few other features. On Pikk, you will appear with your Facebook name and Facebook picture. What do you think?

Logged in Users Now Go To Recent Stories

(Posted 9 months ago)

In order to present fresh content to logged in users, we are now sending you "up and coming" whenever you come to Pikk.com. This way, you are first presented with new stories, and then have the option to go back to popular stories or "my pikk" if you want to check the status of stories you have already voted on.

Ads on pikk?

(Posted 9 months ago)

We're getting a number of ad-style postings. How would you respond to ads in pikk? Would you just bury them? Would clever ads be welcome?

Related Tag Cloud is Live!

(Posted 10 months ago)

All tags on Pikk are clickable and they take you to a page with stories that have that tag. Now, instead of showing popular tags on the right hand side, the related tags cloud shows up. You can now jump from topic to topic with the click of a tag. Check it out. Thanks, lex for the suggestion!

The New Pikk Poll is Almost Done

(Posted 10 months ago)

A new tool for bloggers is ready for testing. You can now embed a Pikk Poll into your blog postings to engage your readers. Your readers can vote on the poll without leaving your site, and you get the added benefit of being linked back from Pikk. Check out the widget code to get started.

Comments are now quotable

(Posted about 1 year ago)

Do to persistent nagging and badgering, you can now quote another users comments by simply clicking the "quote" link that appears next to each comment. Thanks tlk for the suggestion. Please use the feedback form for any bug reports or suggestions.
