As Rafael Sarria fell 13,000 feet Sunday to what could have been his death, the 27-year-old father of a baby girl had one thought in mind:
"Well, at least I'm going out kicking," Sarria told himself as the green patches of Homestead below approached at unbelievable speed.
For three minutes, Sarria wrestled with his damaged parachute, which got caught on the plane's rear flaps. The chute, partially deployed, slowed down what would have been a 120-mph death fall.
