If I want to give my friend a $20 bar tab for his birthday, I first enter my credit card information into Give Real’s payment system, which immediately charges my account. My friend receives a notification alerting him that I’ve given him the gift, but in order to collect it he has to tie his own credit card to Give Real’s system.

Is the lawsuit fair? Katherine Evans posted "the worst teacher I've ever met," and asked other students to post their "feelings of hatred'' toward the teacher." She took the posting down, but the principal suspended her for "bullying and cyber bullying harassment towards a staff member." She graduated and is now suing to have the suspension removed from her record.

As Rafael Sarria fell 13,000 feet Sunday to what could have been his death, the 27-year-old father of a baby girl had one thought in mind: "Well, at least I'm going out kicking," Sarria told himself as the green patches of Homestead below approached at unbelievable speed. For three minutes, Sarria wrestled with his damaged parachute, which got caught on the plane's rear flaps. The chute, partially deployed, slowed down what would have been a 120-mph death fall.

"Day without gays" protest set for December 10

The goal of the protest is to raise awareness that marriage is a "basic human right" and that to deny gays and lesbians that right, and the 1,400 state and federal legal and economic benefits of marriage, is discrimination and in violation of the 14th Amendment. They will be asking people to "call in gay" to their workplace by taking the day off or to shut down their businesses.
