Woody Allen has new movie- what do you think of him?

Woody Allen's new movie is getting a lot of press, mostly because of a lesbian kiss or something like that. From the article: "This light-on-its-feet comedic drama focuses on two young American women (Rebecca Hall as the conservative, engaged Vicky; Scarlett Johansson as the impulsive free spirit Cristina) who spend the summer in Spain and become involved with a smoldering yet earnest Spanish artist (Javier Bardem) and also, in Cristina’s case, his somewhat unhinged ex-wife (Penelope Cruz)."

Media responsible for everyone's misery (not just women's).

Set aside the fact that the author of this article is a moronic jerk, he makes an interesting point that men are barraged by images of unobtainable women in the media, making it difficult for them to desire the ordinarily beautiful. Feel sorry for them.

Hadron super live on Sept. 10th. Predict its impact on science

In case you don't know, the Hadron particle collider is the fastest particle collider ever built. Physicists are geeked up about it. Many are predicting the proof of the existence of theoretical subatomic particles, and others are predicting discovery of new subatomic particles. They basically shoot atoms at each other down a 17 mile tunnel and watch them asplode. A few are predicting the end of the world. From the article: "Other currently theoretical particles may also be observed for the first time, including microscopic black holes--some people have theorized that this side of the project could go wrong with Earth-threatening results, a fear that CERN has comprehensively and repeatedly denied."
