Officer fears for life, shoots, kills unarmed woman, Not Guilty

An awful story from Ohio - During a drug raid, Officer Chavalia stormed a house, saw a shadow, feared for his life, shot into a bedroom where a woman and her six children were hiding. The woman was killed and the baby she was holding was shot but survived. From the article: "Chavalia, an officer of 32-years, had testified that he thought his life was in danger when he fired the shots. He said he saw a shadow coming from behind a partially open bedroom door and heard gunshots that he thought were aimed at him. It turned out the gunfire he heard was coming from downstairs, where officers shot two charging pit bulls....'It's another example that there's very low value on black lives in this community,' said Jason Upthegrove, president of the Lima [NAACP]'

White House ordered forgery to support Iraq invasion, allegedly

"The latest development is the alleged attempt by the administration to get the CIA to forge and backdate a memo concocting some bogus link between Saddam Hussein and al-Qaida, as reported in Ron Suskind's new book, "The Way of the World: A Story of Truth and Hope in an Age of Extremism." The White House, of course, denies the allegation. "The allegation that the White House directed anyone to forge a document from [former Iraqi intelligence director Tahir Jalil] Habbush to Saddam is just absurd," said White House spokesman Tony Fratto."

Couple gets married on top of plane

Click headline to watch video. Three crazy people (the bride, the groom and the priest) standing on old-timey airplanes exchanged wedding vows in the air. From the article: "The activity, known as "wing walking," was turned into a wedding by having a priest stand backwards on the lead plane, while the bride and groom trailed a bit behind him on separate planes. The ceremony was broadcast to guests on the ground using a PA system. No telling what the happy couple has planned for the honeymoon."
